Why Is Our Visual Research Unique?

We develop factual recreations with true historical evidence representative of time and space from other eras. We use authentic artifacts to recreate historical records drawing from archival sources such as photos, film and sound. The result is the manifestation of new worlds by bringing old worlds to life, utilising generative AI and Unreal Engine Cinematics.

Michael Clark

Michael Clark is a Canadian-Japanese-American filmmaker with a 45-year career. His work has garnered numerous accolades including awards from Cannes, the London International Advertising Awards, and the Genie Awards, for picture and sound editing in theatrical features, series, commercials , documentaries, and animation.

Michael's career began as an assistant to Oscar-winning editor David Bretherton, former President of the American Film Editors Guild. Michael’s long career as an editor include the renowned multi-award-winning feature ‘Sharkwater’, ‘When Elephants Were Young’, and many other acclaimed projects.

Over the years Michael has transitioned from traditional editing to embracing modern technologies, which showcase his versatility and creativity.

Michael is currently utilizing Motion Capture, Generative AI and Unreal Engine Cinematics to deliver compelling animation content.

Jordyn Lee Hager

Jordyn brings fifteen years of experience as assistant editor, computer programmer and CGI systems architect. She is a an active member of the Visual Researcher Society of Canada (VRSC).

Her impressive portfolio includes visual research contributions to notable projects such as '1491,' an 8-episode series for APTN and ZDF, 'Tribal Police' Seasons 2 and 3 for APTN, 'Wheeler’s Everest' for CBC Documentary Channel, and 'Finding the Balance,' an award-winning short documentary by Kwassen Productions. Additionally, Jordyn has contributed her skills to 'Ravishing Rags' for TELUS Originals, 'Forbidden Music' for Knowledge Network, and 'Leaving Beringia' for TELUS Independent.


 

Patricia Sims

Founder of Canazwest Pictures, Patricia is an experienced producer, director and writer of factual content.  As the founder of World Elephant Day –  the annual advocacy campaign she launched in 2012 – Patricia has generated awareness worldwide for elephant conservation. Her services include producing, impact campaigns, directing, writing, story editing, project development, financing, business affairs and tax credit consultation, production supervision, and the planning and management of location filming logistics in diverse and remote locations.
